One of the noteworthy accomplishments of the final group of Bantu immigrants was the generation of political states, or even the introduction of centralized systems of presidency. They recognized the Maravi Confederacy about 1480. Through the sixteenth century the confederacy encompassed the better part of what's now central and southern Malawi, and, at the height of its impact, inside the seventeenth century, its program of presidency impacted peoples from the here adjacent areas of existing-day Zambia and Mozambique.
